BERNIE SANDERS’ ORWELLIAN MOVE

“Some of the animals are more equal”

In a move right out of George Orwell’s famous 1945 treatise on Socialism, Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders met yesterday with Rev Al Sharpton in Harlem to in effect take the temperature of the black community as he moves out of familiar territory and wants to gain traction with the large African American voting bloc in the Democratic Party.

For the record, the total population of his home state Vermont is only 625,000 or about half the population of Philadelphia and that includes an infinitesimal 1.2% of black Americans.  Truth be told, Vermont may be the whitest and least inclusive state in the union.

Senator Sanders rants almost daily on the disproportionate income streams in this country, wants redistribution and a more progressive tax system for corporations and individuals, and claims to be the “Democratic Socialist” who can get that done.  He angrily demonizes those who don’t “pay their fair share” and has had great success in recent weeks rallying those who want more from the federal government regardless of how the money is sourced.

Few in the reporting national media saw anything outrageous when he met yesterday with one of biggest tax cheats in this country, Reverend Al Sharpton, who also serves as an MSNBC news  personality and has a history of backing individuals who play fast and loose with the law.

Speaking of not paying your “fair share” Rev. Sharpton reportedly has over $4.5 million in tax liens against him but it seems the IRS has not seen fit to do much about it over the years.  George Orwell, himself a proclaimed “Democratic Socialist” wrote in his famous treatise Animal Farm, that “All of the animals on the farm are equal - - but some of them are ‘More Equal” as he satirized the hypocrisy of Socialism as it was being applied as the tool of many government demagogues in the 1940s; particularly Joseph Stalin of Russia.

Well, Mr. Sanders, who took his own honeymoon in Soviet Russia, seems to follow that “More Equal” approach in deciding who he needs to work with to make his way to candidacy in the Democratic Party.
